Elfen Lied

I'll be doing a full review of the series at a later time, however figured I would make a topic about it to discuss the series. This series disappointed me overall to be honest, as it had a lot of potential. It's a good series, do not get me wrong, but it had a good idea but fell on anime clichés which ultimately killed its potential. Anyone else seen it?

I saw Elfen Lied, and i loved every bit of it (especially when dogs were involved). I also read the manga, but prefer the anime because Kohta's reaction when he remembers the truth behind his parents' demise is exactly what I wanted it to be in the anime, but not so much in the manga. Plus, the manga lacks the awsome intro and ending themes as well as Lucy's hauntingly beautiful music box melody. The only real beef I have with the anime is that there is no second season, eventhough the ending practically begs for one. The OVA is nice, though.
